Tiny House Blog Tag Line

by Kent Griswold on September 27th, 2009. 21 Comments

My goal is to be constantly improving the Tiny House Blog and you may have noticed a few changes already, the first being the cleaner theme that was installed Friday, this change makes the blog easier to read and enjoy.

One of my self-assignments is to select a tag line that explains what the Tiny House Blog is all about. I asked several friends to give me their input and write down what they thought the Tiny House Blog meant to them in a single sentence. The results are listed in the poll below.

I would like to get your vote and see which one you think fits the Tiny House Blog the best. Also if you have a tagline you would like to suggest, write it in the comment section below.

Thank you for your input.

how about “living more in less space”? seems to me that having a long tag line seems at odds for a blog about reducing your footprint.

i like the “claustrophile” idea, but calling it a support group might be a little too cutesy. also seems a bit redundant to have the title and then the tag line start with “the tiny house blog is…”

My .02 cents is a tag should be as short and succinct as possible. For example, Nike — Just Do It.

Living more in less space is my choice, though even that I feel could be tighter and explored at greater length. The whole idea of “bigger living, smaller footprint” , “more living, less consuming” , etc., etc., is ripe for picking.

    Good luck.
    Jim

Good point Jim, that one so far is the most popular. Maybe I’ll take it and see what options people come up with to make it short, sweet and to the point, thanks for your input…Kent

  3. Living more in less space is the best short and informative ….maybe you should have another word for more because more in not a word that gives to many hits. Maybe you should have fullfilling/fully/happy/kreativ or another good word?
Maybe free living in less space or free effektiv living in less space.
This was fun, have a nice day/ Helena

Kent – the new theme looks excellent. It’s much easier to read. I dig it! Good job.

Also – thanks for adding my photo to your post and the link. :)

I’m going to cast my vote…

    Happy Sunday!

  5. Betian says:

Haven’t been to this site in quite some time. WOW. AWESOME LAYOUT. I’ll be back.

  6. Matt says:

    “Living Large with Less”?

…regardless, I voted for living more in less space.

    Kudos again Kent!

I have a button on my bike bag that has a VW Bug on it with the words “Think Small” I’ve always liked that line as my wife is only 5 feet tall… Perhaps a variation on that like, “Think Big by Thinking Small” The “Big” represents a global attitude while the “Small” represents our approach. OR possibly a fun twist to the old “Get Smart” show…”Get Small” Love the site, I enjoy and share it daily. Thanks!!!

  8. sandra says:

    Or
    Maximum Living, Minimum Footprint
    Or
    Maximum Living, Minimum Space.

I will also take this opportunity to say how much I enjoy this blog!

  9. Margy says:

Thanks for asking me to be part of your site revision. I always enjoy reading about how others approach living simply in small (especially remote) spaces. One thing I liked about your old setup was the category list of house types. Just a thought.

    • Kent Griswold says:

Good point Margy, I guess I forgot to put that back up. I’m still doing a lot of background cleanup and somehow forgot to get that up.

  10. ej says:

    Small is beautiful

  11. Ilana says:

    Short and sweet is best…

but I also prefer something like “Living Large in Less Space” – nice play on words :-)

  12. Anne B says:

“living more in less space” gets my vote because it is succinct as it should be on a site about minimalism. It also reminds me of a cookbook that had a profound effect on my life in the 70s “the More with Less Cookbook”. Similar title, same theme.

  13. Anna says:

I agree short and sweet, clean. My favorite:

    Maximum Living, Minimum Footprint

  14. Ade Adenekan says:

Kudos for this good effort but there should be more for the newbies like me.
