RV Park Model Cottage for Sale in Texas

Yvonne discovered this Tiny House on Wheels for sale in Kemah, Texas on craigslist and says: “You don’t see many tiny houses for sale in the Houston area. I saw this on Craigslist and thought your readers might be interested.” http://houston.craigslist.org/rvs/1638746361.html

18′ RV Park Model cottage house – $4999 cash! The price blows me away and I even question it, so if anyone is in the area and can check this out please do and comment below. I did a screen capture of the ad as craigslist eventually removes them. Here is the video on YouTube.

Yvonne just sent me the link to the $3,899 green house, you can check it out here.

  1. Hurricane Ike hit the Gulfcoast area and destroyed many homes and businesses in towns and cities, including Galveston and Kemah! In fact, Extreme Home Makeover just came down to Kemah in January to construct a new home for a family who has been living in two trailers ever since the hurricane destroyed their home in Kemah. A lot of things were destroyed here on the Gulf Coast. In fact I read a person in the Conroe, Tx. area got taken by purchasing a truck off Craigs list and it turns out the title given him wasn’t an original title (he found this out when he tried to regiater it). The truck had a salvaged title because it was destroyed by the hurricane flood waters from Ike. Buyer better beware!!!

  2. I live in Somerset, Tx, just south of San Antonio. I saw the tiny houses and really wanted one. I talked with the owner, Brad who is an architect in Houston. He said he had already sold the blue one to someone in Austin. I made the trip to Kemah last Saturday to see the green one which I had the pleasure of purchasing. It will be delivered to my 8 acre property south of Somerset next week. The green one was not finished like the blue one so it will be a work in progress. Eventually I plan to hoist the tiny house up on a platform among the trees on my property to have a treehouse getaway. Brad was on the up and up and treated me very fairly. Since I was the first one to call him about the green house, he entered into a gentleman’s agreement with me, saying he would not sell the house to someone else until I had a chance to look at it because I was driving all the way from San Antonio. Brad’s website can be found at bomoso.com. He is currently working on a small house that floats.I am finally realizing a dream I have had for many years. I am a school librarian who loves to write and will now have a treehouse haven appropriately named Mi Rinconcito Del Cielo, My Little Corner of Heaven.
