WOW ! This cabin looks fantastic. So refreshing not to see it on a trailer.
Its too big to be on a trailer and it is only a sleeping cabin. No living room area. It is a beautiful cabin non the less! 🙂 Then again, with a place this cute who would want to get out of bed! 🙂
The bath/kitchen area could easily be ‘lofted’ for a sleeping space, which would make for a *huge* (by tiny house standards Living Room. 🙂
Hi Bob, this is Sharon the owner of the Banff Log Cabin. There is room for a loft bed above the bathroom because the roof is vaulted and very tall.
We considered this option but decided that althought we could offer this to our guests 1. it may be a safety hazard. 2. We would prefer to offer an exclusive romantic log cabin for adults only, wanting to enjoy some quality time together (sorry to all the families).
So loft beds are totally possible in smaller living spaces.
Also, our cabin is only 300 square feet, and we thought long and hard about where to place everything to maximise the space for best use and comfort.
So lovely to see our cabin featured on this page, we really appreciate all the lovely comments.

I totally love this cabin. I’m in the beginning phases of building a small log home only about 500 – 600 sq feet. I just could pay rent anymore. I refuse. So one day I began researching tiny houses…tiny log houses I loovvveee log homes. This is the cutest I’ve seen. My goal is to build a much larger log home one day but for now its just me. I want to be savvy in this economy and this is perfect. #lovingthiscabin ~Sandy

I love the huge overhangs, that will really give the logs good protection as well as making for very pleasing proportions.Gives a nice “fairy-tale” look. Wonder what’s in the basement?

Who needs a living room! It has everything as far as I’m concerned. I could live here with ease!
The living room…is the great outdoors! and on “bad weather days”, I could just stay in bed and read! 😉 Of course, I like the suggestion about the sleeping loft and then the bed area would be fine for a living room.

And besides who needs ~LOL~ A Living Room when you have the entirety of Banff as such. And given we spend at least 1/3 of our lives in bed anyway!
Make the bed a Murphy style, add a couple folding chairs (or end of bed padded blanket bench) and when bed is folded away, a large living room with no stairs involved. The Front Door’s 5 steps are enough–otherwise, heaven.

Cute cabin! What makes it is the location, though. You just don’t get much nicer than Banff … well maybe Kananaskis.

Hi Frank, We charge $295 in the peak summer season, $250 in the winter (no additonal taxes or hotel fees with gourmet breakfast included) and we were fully booked this summer. As we have the only excusive log cabin in Banff, totally private and within walking distance from the Banff Springs Hotel and town, we are getting rave reviews – please check them out on trip advisor.

This cabin belongs to my friends. I have luckily stayed here a few times and it is absolutely wonderful! Well worth the money, that’s for certain!
Cozy and warm come to mind…! But as some one else has said, A Murphy bed is needed with a couple of chairs and or may be a day couch and I could say I’m home… If living in one of the Northern 48 was my cup of tea..!
