Happy New Year 2014

2014 tiny house

Wow, where did this last year go? So much has happened in the last year in the tiny house world that I feel like I still am trying to catch up on it all. So many people building tiny houses, it is thrilling to see. I enjoy all the new blogs and websites of people sharing there stories and appreciate so many of you letting me pass them on via the Tiny House Blog.

The growth continues to amaze me as I come into the seventh year of publishing this blog. It has been fun to see the Tiny House Magazine publish issue number 12. A full year of an experiment that I believe has officially become a real product. Thank you to those faithful writers who make it happen.

I’m looking forward to seeing what 2014 brings to the tiny house movement. I think we are just getting ready to really take off as interest continues to grow. Happy New Year to you all!

50 years ago I moved back to a regular house after living in a travel trailer for several years for our business. I was struck by the unnecessary space/stuff & used to doodle a concept of small trailer sized houses arranged around a central square or courtyard to create a community. It looks like someone may finally build my pipedream in this lifetime !

Happy New Year. Thank you so much for following your dream and creating this blog. I love what you are doing and the fact that you are sharing; I have been sharing the information you send out and know it has inspired many friends. We have a small network just starting up down here in New Zealand and need all the help we are able to find. Part of our dream is to be as self sustainable as possible while still being part of the community. Once again many thanks 🙂

Just wanted to give a great tip about toilets in these tiny houses. I went to a convention a few years ago and saw this. It would be a great asset in a tiny bathroom 😀 http://www.fritidstoa.se/media/565/cinderella_user_guide.pdf?

Thank you for sharing helpful information.

We are the care takers of a gentle spirited 50 + year old wee spaced cottage.

When we first moved to our beloved cottage, we were simply “downsizing” as fast approaching seniors. What our small space has given us the opportunity to learn is “less is more”…and happily, at ages 62 and 60, we are still learning~

We are entering our eighth year and something new is a lesson we learn on a daily basis.

Blessings for a wonderous New Year in 2014.

Your work and message,is changing the world Kent…in more ways than you can even conceptualize right now! Thank you,-wholeheartedly, to you and to all who are helping to spread this VERY GOOD THING! 🙂

p.s. think -Martha Stewart- would be up to help design and style/market – a tiny home? That’d be something wouldnt it?

mobile homes were early tiny houses. THere ae lots of different options… maybe 2014 will adress some of the better options across all manufacturers in the USA and outside of the USA…. Not everyone has the space to live in a home and build a tiny. some are already living in a tiny and tiny space. mobile homes with real options, real choices, real renewable components and re-claimed components would be a good thing… and dont stop there, mobile homes can become stationary and can bring lots to the plate since they are often built for all climates… HNY Happy New year.

Happy New Year to you as well. It’s amazing how much traction your blog has gotten. Here in NY, real estate is expensive and some of the spaces small, so your ideas provide lots of ways to better utilize space Here’s to a wonderful 2014.
