  1. Hi, there – thought I’d let you know the discount code isn’t working. The sample looked great, but I’d like the 25% off!

  2. Hi Kent, I really enjoy what you’re doing – thanks! It seems that lately the emphasis is on tiny houses on wheels. My guess is that the majority of the people that have these live in larger houses and use the t.h.’s on wheels to cruise – as in vacation. What percentage do you think actually live in them as permanent homes?
    Thanks,
    John

    • I know here where there are a lot of construction companies or tradespeople who have very seasonal employment for their “large project” time. Many of these are finding many people asking tentative advice about doing self-built tiny home projects they’re not certain they have the tools, the space to do the construction, whether that’s building a moveable tiny house on a trailer, or pre-fabricating the sections of one that will sit on a slab or other type foundation, being very careful with their dollars. Some of the contractors are choosing not to be rude or dismissive, but to help their tradesmen stay healthy in ‘low season’ they’ve taken to providing the small crews required for on-site builds, or using their storage/ equipment facilities to build to a customers specifications during ‘off-season.’ They’re making sure even moveable tiny homes get attention to detail that meets safety and quality of the national building codes, even for the moveable house units, in case someone decides after a few years they need to have it take “off-frame” or they need to use it in an area where for a long-term occupancy, it has to meet current codes. I think in some cases, they know the person intends to “go for it” anyhow, and choose to not turn away honest work, even if is only a week or less for a 3 or 4 member team of professionals from start to a finished, ready-to-move-into tiny home.

  5. Just a hint for would-be shoppers: I was unable to use the code exactly as shown in the post, but it DID work for me without the apostrophe.
