Hi folks! My tiny house, the Bayside Bungalow, in Olympia, Washington is available for rent this winter. I’m looking for a full-time renter from December or January through April. Tiny houses in the Northwest fare much better in the winter when someone is living there full-time running the water & keeping the heat on (i.e. no frozen tiny pipes!). And now with the Envi heater AND Dickenson stove, it’ll stay nice and cozy! The house sits on waterfront property on the shore of the Puget Sound, in a rural, quiet setting, which is 15 minutes from downtown Olympia.

Asking $550/mo. with utilities included, but I’m willing to be flexible for the right fit.
See www.baysidebungalow.com for photos, and contact information. If you or someone you know is interested, please pass along the word and let me know!
Cheers,
Brittany
How sweet it is..would love one myself..sure you will find a good renter..who built it?? Nice!:)
where do you sleep in thier??,,is thier a shower
The correct word is ‘there’ as in, “Is there a shower?” Additionally, the common English rule of ‘i’ before ‘e’ does not apply, so one would say “It’s their shower.”
Good for you Jack, it must make you feel so wonderful to point out every ones mistakes! I appreciate correct spelling and grammar myself but don’t generally feel the need to give lessons.
Go to your rooms – both of you.
Thanks Jack. You just said what everyone else was thinking.
If you click on the link to her website, you will see that there is a shower, and you sleep in the loft above the kitchen.
She built this herself, and if I was in the market for a tiny house, I would jump at the chance to rent first to see how I like it. This house and location are just about perfect. I hope she finds a good renter.
So cute! If I could go to Olympia for six months, I’d definitely rent from you! Very cozy!
Not in a position to do this this year, but like the idea of planning for next year. Is this an annual event for you?
I live in Oly and am likely in need of a place this winter, so please contact me: three – six – oh 357 3871.
Thx.
amazing house and location, but $550/month? seems extremely expensive for 160 sq ft of space. is it the location?
It must be. I can rent a 500 square foot apartment for that price, with utilities, in my area. The closer you get to water and/or the ocean the higher the cost of living.
I agree Steve, $550 per month for this little house is a bit steep. The house is beautiful and well-made but there is supposed to be a financial advantage in choosing tiny houses. For $550 I could find a bigger, nicer place that offers laundry facilities.
Folks, it is beautiful, fully furnished, on the water and a great way for someone to try out the tiny house lifestyle before going whole-hog into the expense and effort of building or purchasing one. Could be the best $1650 you ever spent! I am amazed at how short-sighted and cheap people can be!
Your website shows the house and property off nicely! Good luck, Brittany!
Just realized something… Not having a washer/dryer would be a deal breaker for me. I think a SUPER tiny home is not in my future. Perhaps more like 300-400 sq ft.
Hi… What an adorable home! I’m retiring in 2 years and have been dreaming about a tiny home for the past 10 years. I’d greatly appreciate any advice about how to begin the process of acquiring the land and building a similar home. (Can’t do it myself, though.)
Thanks so much for your efforts to minimize our carbon footprints!

Thinking the same thing about the price. It’s a beautiful, tasteful space but asking that much for rent goes against the spirit of the small house movement and just seems greedy. If you’re in it for the money, you might as well go bigger. Asking people to sacrifice space and comfort in exchange for a normal-sized rent? Not for me, but maybe someone else wouldn’t mind.
Looking at local housing prices on Craig’s List it doesn’t seem like such an outrageously high price. Hope you find just the right tenant.
Hi I love any old and smaller type homes.I would like to know about some of your plans or floor plans.I am handicapped in a whhelchair but not forever.I will be able to walk again.I want some info on your smaller cabins, not a frame type kind, and also I own my own property way out in the sticks in the backwoods of Ohio.I have a cabin built now, with board and batten w/a 8×24 porch with green steel, anyways I would like to get some info on how much you will charge me to have a nicer cabin built for myself.Thank you so much, and I just love a smaller home,no need to clean a huge home anymore,Thank you…P.S.I would like to be able to rent one of your smaller cabins for the winter months as ohio is a deep freezer compared to Colorado’s weather.
i’d drive up from AZ in an instant as I do archaeology work up there and would enjoy a place to stay other than the motels! the price though is way too rich for a ditch diggers blood.
How can I contact the owner directly?
Que tal,
Me ha gustado el articulo. Otros articulos no me convencieron demasiado, sin embargo la gran mayor?a son bastante buenos.
Un saludo
Hi Brittany ,
I like your tiny house, my boyfriend and I are looking for a place but our budget I only $450. We are in slc right now but are getting anxious to travel somewhere new for the winter. If your place is available please send me an email back..
Thanks Emma
WOW… this layout is the greatest yet! Is there plans or anything …I take it you designed the layout and built it yourself? Way to go. Your layout makes this far more livable..even for two people (that has been our hesitency because most of the Tini-homes are O.K. for ONE…but not two (unless number 2 is a DOG!)
thank you for the inspiration! Wish we could rent it! Kirt- San Diego
Hello! I would absolutely love to rent this tiny home. Please contact me at 603 72one 1426. I have done a lot of research on building a tiny home and would love to rent one prior to spending a significant chunk of money on building. Thank you!

Wow….that looks like Heaven! And on Puget Sound to boot? Wow…..If I lived close….. Thanks for sharing it though. : )
This is the nicest looking teeny home I’ve seen yet and I think your rental price is probably fine for where you are located. I’m building a tiny studio apartment which includes washer and dryer in Portland but will be asking around $450 as I don’t have anywhere near the beautiful surroundings you offer. Great work, Brittany
Where to find a small stove like the one in this home? I’ve been looking for this size. Thank you for any information.
Britanny: Your tiny home looks great. I am a builder of these type of homes and the market is great for some one that is not trying to get rich by helping others have a tiny home. I think your price is great and if you have not rented it out by the last of December I would very much like to rent it and can pay you in full up front for four mounts. January through April. If i were there during that time frame would there be any snow as that would make it great. Please feel free to reply via email or call me at 73-505-9596 to discuss these issues. I am 68 do not drink or party and am a very neat person and take very good care of anything that I have anything to do with it. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you get a good tenent if it cant be me. And your floor plan is great and if your not a builder you should be. You did a great job of lay out and use of all of the space. Lin
For those of you asking about plans, it’s a Tumbleweed Fencl!
As for the comments on the price, I wish prices were that low where I live! To me it looks like a great bargain! Especially since it’s so close to the water!
My daughter lives in Bremerton. I would love to rent this, with all my heart.
